Mericle RN Staffing was established 10/2003. Owners are Steve and Tammie Mericle.

My Name is Tammie Mericle and I have been practicing as a RN for almost 20 years with the last several years as an Independent Nurse Contractor. I’ve worked in a variety of fields; pediatrics, med-surg., home health, emergency room, critical care and acute rehab. I absolutely love nursing but am not all that crazy about all the politics and the pay has always been a sore spot.

I’d worked as a Traveling Nurse for several years and was amazed to find out what an agency was actually charging for a Nurse. It really seemed that I was doing all the leg work myself. I decided to cut out the middleman and am now practicing as an Independent Nurse Contractor .I work most of my contracts in hospital settings and it is such a wonderful change. I have worked in several states;Ohio, Texas and Colorado.

I named my Company Mericle RN Staffing LLC and decided to do it on my own. I talked about it for several months and then one day I made up my mind I was going to take a chance. It has been such a great change but along the way I discovered that many nurses were not that familiar with the process. Many were interested but had no idea where to start. I wrote a Manual: Success In Business As An Independent Nurse Contractor.

This manual has all the aspects needed to start up a Nurse Agency business and work as an Independent Nurse Contractor.

Hello to Everyone,

I would like to introduce you to the Mericle Family on a more personal level.

I am Tammie Mericle whopping 40 years old and have many titles but perfer just to be called simply "Tammie."

My hobbies are family, travel, outdoor sporting activities, fitness, and reading and most of all scary movies. I have been a nurse 16 years and find it to be very rewarding. I love to try new things and am looking forward to obtaining my Masters and working as a Nurse Practioner in our Company. The best memory I have is when we built our house. This was a true test of family spirit and we all survived and have many fond memories. Our house is still standing and actually in excellent shape after ten years. Hah Hah

I am married to Steve and have three grown children ( Richard, Matthew and Cassie) and Four grandchildren Brianna, Bracen, RJ & Colin. I have to tell you being a grandparent has been the most wonderful experience one will ever have. Although, it took time to think of myself as Grandma "Tammie" now I welcome it. I have a dog named Bailey and a cat named Chelsie whom both think they are human and are included in all family activities.

Steve is my husband and a whopping 51 years young and he also is an RN of 16 years , Business Owner and Nurse Entrepreneur. He is my soul mate and life partner. His most loved hobby is working in his shop. He loves to work with wood, before he was a Nurse he had his own Construction Company. He has made about all our furniture and is now starting on more baby furniture for the new arrivals. He also loves to travel and likes outdoor activities
